Getting Started...

Congratulations!  Contacting Galiso gives your company every opportunity for success.

From your market studies and analysis, you've determined that
hydrostatic testing can be a solid profit opportunity for your business,
or a cost reduction step for in-house testing of your own
cylinder inventory.  But, how do you begin?  Who do you
turn to for answers?

Since 1962, Galiso has manufactured and installed thousands of the finest,
most reliable, hydrostatic test systems and support equipment for companies large and
small.  Galiso is the internationally acknowledged leader in innovation and customer support.

This pamphlet is one example of our commitment to support you, as we guide and

needs.  Your system order is scheduled with a firm ship date.  Installation and

 Registration & Certification

To start the DOT registration and certification process, contact the DOT Approvals Branch in
Washington D.C.,  (202) 366-4512, and request a documentation packet.  This contains
the necessary papers and a listing of Independent Inspection Agents whom you must contact
to arrange an on-site inspection of your facilities after the system is installed.  The agent will
evaluate and verify that you are properly equipped, staffed, and trained to be
in compliance with DOT mandates.

Upon completion, the agent provides you with a letter of recommendation, and the Approvals
Branch with an inspection report.  The applicant (your company) must then submit the
letter and completed application to the Approvals Branch to obtain the (RIN) Requalifiers Identification Number.
Notification that you can begin approved testing usually takes from 10 to 14 days.

 Operator Training (Hazmat)

To meet the requirements of 49 CFR 172 subpart H, each system operator must obtain the
necessary training and documentation by attending certification classes every 3 years, and
show proof of completion, to be in compliance with DOT mandated procedures.  Please see
our Online Training Pages.
